Today is January 6..we say goodbye officially to Christmas
holiday and welcome the start of Mardi Gras!
Since we lived 6 great years in New Orleans and the boys
were born there...we try to keep New Orleans memories
alive in our traditions here in Birmingham.
Of course, our yearly home made King Cake may be quite sad
to native New Orleans but we like it.
It was gone in less than an hour!
yes, I am quite aware this looks really ill.. I clearly
need help in the "twist" of the king cake look.
what can I say.
Goodbye Santa's....
all lined up for the trip to the attic!!
See you in 11 months!
